On the 20th of October 2011 10 chefs went head to head in a 7 hour gastronomical marathon that pushed some of the best chefs in the country to the limit.
10 top culinary stars mentored their heat winning candidates in an event that effectively redrew the line in professional national chef training. The privileged 150 diners at the this ticketed event were also judges that had a direct impact on the outcome on the night. In addition 13,000 web votes were counted throughout the duration of the event. At midnight Rohan Nevins (Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel) and Aiden Byrne (Church Green) were crowned champions, their trophies presented by Monica Galetti from BBC show;Masterchef the Professionals
Rohan Nevins won a trip to Joel Robuchon in Tokyo and a full set of Chroma haiku professional chef’s knives. The event also raised over £3000 for Hospitality Action.
